J. Shelby Bryan, Chairman & CEO

Mr. Bryan has been a pioneer in voice communications for thirty years; first in wireless, both domestic and international, later in integrated voice and data services and currently in business class Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Mr. Bryan previously served as Chairman and CEO of ICG Communications, one of the nation's largest integrated telephone and data companies. ICG delivers voice and internet data services over fiber optic networks and was one of the first companies to envision hosted VoIP services. Prior to ICG Mr. Bryan co-founded Millicom International Cellular S.A. Millicom, under Mr. Bryan’s leadership, founded and operated more cellular telephone companies than any other company in the world. In 1983 Millicom entered into a joint venture with a British company to form Vodaphone. Mr. Bryan was one of the 1st board members of this company, which is now the largest cellular company in the world. Mr. Bryan received a BA from the University of Texas, a JD from the University of Texas School of Law and an MBA from Harvard University.

Bill Smedberg, President

Mr. Smedberg brings to PingTone over twenty years of finance and management experience in the telecommunications, consumer products and manufacturing industries. Mr. Smedberg came to PingTone from Network Access Solutions (“NAS”), a publicly traded, facilities based business DSL provider. In addition to his role as Executive Vice President and CFO, Mr. Smedberg was a member of the NAS Board of Directors. Prior to NAS, he worked for PathNet, a wholesale telecommunications provider, first as CFO and Vice President of Corporate Development and then as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. Before joining PathNet, Mr. Smedberg worked in Belgium as Director, Strategic Planning and Corporate Development for Jamont, a European consumer products joint venture among Nokia, Montedison, and James River Corporation, where he was responsible for Jamont's corporate finance, strategic planning and corporate development. Mr. Smedberg holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Robyn Smith, Vice President Service Operations

Ms. Smith has over 22 years of telecommunications experience in service operations and customer support. Before joining PingTone, Ms. Smith was Director of Customer Operations for Covad Communications; a publicly-traded, nationwide broadband and business VoIP provider where she was responsible for Eastern U.S. VoIP provisioning and support. Prior to Covad, Robyn was Vice President of Service Delivery responsible for all customer support operations for DSL.Net; a national business broadband service provider. Earlier with DSL.Net she was Vice President of Operations with responsibility for day to day service operations including ordering, provisioning, customer support and carrier relations. Ms. Smith's career in telecommunications began with Cable & Wireless where she spent over 15 years in roles of increasing responsibility including: voice and data ordering, provisioning, sales support, service management and service delivery. While with Cable & Wireless, Robyn was the recipient of the Chairman's Award for outstanding achievement.

Glen Gaillard, Vice President Network Engineering

Mr. Gaillard brings 21 years of telecommunications engineering experience to PingTone. He began his career at Cable & Wireless with satellite earth station provisioning and maintenance operations. His subsequent twelve years with Cable & Wireless included management positions in the United States and United Kingdom with global field and network operations. Mr. Gaillard concluded his tenure with C&W as Senior Manager of IP data line services, North America. Following Cable & Wireless he held executive management positions with Network Access Solutions and Covad Communications, both publicly traded, nationwide broadband service providers, where he was responsible for network operations and technical assistance centers. While with Covad, Mr. Gaillard was the technical leader responsible for development of the business VoIP product offering and technical assistance teams. His engineering education includes three years of advanced study at Telecommunications College; Penzance, United Kingdom together with multiple certifications from Cisco Systems, Nortel (DMS 250 and 300), Alcatel, Sylantro, Broadsoft and Genband.

John Adams, Vice President Sales & Marketing

Mr. Adams brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience within the communications, media and graphics industries. Prior to joining PingTone, John was the Consulting Sales Manager at Oracle Corporation where his responsibilities included leading multiple teams in driving industry leading solutions and services for major cable and wireless service providers. John’s other experiences include roles at EMC Consulting and Cisco Systems, advising telecommunications providers, wireless carriers and cable companies on technical and marketing solutions thus enabling their successful roll-out of VoIP products and services. John started his career with RR Donnelley, and has also held a variety of sales management and marketing positions with Network Access Solutions and Blue Ridge Networks. John holds a B.A. degree in Business from Stockton State College in New Jersey.
