Regarded Operations Executive Joins PingTone Management Team
HERNDON, VA (April 18, 2006)—PingTone Communications announced the hiring of telecom industry stand out Robyn Smith as Vice President of Service Operations. Ms Smith will oversee service operations for PingTone including all aspects of customer support and provisioning.
“PingTone’s commitment to customer support and track record of satisfied customers over the past six years is what attracted me most,” commented Ms Smith. “I couldn’t be happier about becoming part of the company.” Prior to joining PingTone, Ms Smith ran Eastern U.S. Customer Operations for Covad Communications (DVW) where she was responsible for both VoIP and Business Broadband support operations.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Robyn’s caliber,” noted Bill Smedberg, President of PingTone. “Her approach to total customer care together with her extensive background in telecommunications is a strong addition to our management team.”
Ms Smith’s previous twenty years of telecom industry experience includes positions with DSL.net where she served as Vice President of Service Delivery and Cable & Wireless where she led multiple service and support groups. While with Cable & Wireless, Ms Smith was honored with the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.
